[APML] BG Smooth Win GUI

Has anyone tried using Ron Bishop's Windows GUI for Axel Mellinger's BG 
Smooth program in Windows 2000?

I can't get it to run on my box, but I just re-formatted and re-installed 
everything and my Nikon LS2000 scanner doesn't work with Nikon Scan anymore 
either. Curious thing is that the scanner works with VueScan.

I'm writing the section of my book right now on noise reduction.
