RE: [APML] Jpeg standards



I suspect that most, nearly all, software patents could be overthrown on the
basis of "prior art".  Of course, both our trademark and our patent systems
provide no protection--they only give you the right to sue those who
infringe.  The deeper pockets win.  Only the lawyers come out ahead.
