[APML] Undeveloped(?) spots on film?
Last week I shot a roll of E200 and Provia 400F an am looking over the
images this week. I have noticed on some of the Provia 400F frames
some black spots, mostly amorphous but some stringy like a small hair
or something. I only noticed them in the scanned images and just
assumed I had dust on the film so I cleaned the film, rescanned and
discovered they are still there. Examining the film on a light pad
with a 10X loupe shows they are definitely part of the film; it looks
like little unexposed spots on the emulsion.
Has anyone ever seen this before? Do I have a bad batch of film? Did
my shop screw up the developing? Did I mishandle the film at some
point?
I don't have any of the images on the web yet; I can put one up is
someone wants to take a peek.
Oh, and is there some way to fill these in so they aren't so
noticeable? After I adjust the levels the spots are *very* noticeable
in the Milky Way regions.
