Re: [APML] OIII line color



Dear Mike,

      This is an excellent rendition, and I appreciate seeing the 
results with and without corrected star color balances.  Supernova 
remnants present special problems, as do planetaries, because they 
can contain emission lines not found in H II regions and because the 
ratios of some of those lines that ARE found in H II regions are in 
different ratios.  After all, the excitation and ionization 
conditions are radically different in these three types of objects.

      Thanks for the great work by you and others to make color 
photographs that contain physically significant information in their 
colors.
