Chris, Bert, Scott, and Brian,
Thanks for all your kind words. I didn't
realize building a web site was so time consuming. I wouldn't even want to
think about how much time goes into a Buy.com.
Chris, I got lucky on that particular aurora.
At the time, I wasn't really following them. I basically just walked
outside at the right time and the sky was on fire. I drove to dark skies
and began taking pictures. I really don't think I'll ever see another
aurora as bright as it was; however, I'll keep hoping.
Scott, I really enjoyed working with the Adobe
Golive and Photoshop combination. It made creating the web
pages really easy. However, there is a nasty copy bug in Adobe Golive
when you copy one component to another, tweak a little, and then save the
new component. Adobe Golive completely shuts down, even in
Windows 2000. Definitely a nasty bug; otherwise, I've had very few
problems with it.
Brian, I really enjoyed taking the Comet
Ikeya-Zhang images. It was my first time to use the Pentax 67 as an
astro-camera. The Fuji NHGII film really did a nice job, and so did Tony
Hallas in scanning them. Actually, Tony Hallas scanned just about every
picture on my web site. Comet Ikeya-Zhang and
Hale-Bopp are my favorite comets so far. I
just wish I had the Pentax 67 when Comet Hale-Bopp came around in
1997.
Again, thanks for all your kind words. As
always, web sites are always in a state of flux so I'll be tweaking it
probably forever.
