Long before I wrestled out this
image in my "newbie euphoria" Mike Cook produced a truly sensational image of
this with incredible effort aimed at the colors in the Veil. I think if
Mike does not mind he should repost this image with the HOT mouse over... IMHO
his image blows mine away. Yes, actually, I have as an acquaintence up here a
very nice person who is an avid amateur astrophotographer (my link) who also
happens to be a PhD in spectral analysis of chemicals... he is very interested
in the problem of what constitutes "accurate color" of what we image. The pros
use narrow band filters and crunch numbers... I am not sure our images have much
use to them... still, there are too many blue stars in M13... : -
)
