[APML] Scutum Star Cloud Region

Hi,

This is a photo of the Scutum Star Cloud region taken this new moon.
The region covers M17 (Swan Nebula) and NGC 6590. The red channel of
this tricolor image is a combined 5 min and 30 min exposures due to the
wide dynamic range of this channel and the limited dynamic range of Tech
Pan in D19 developer. The use of the 30 min red exposure allows the
registration of some very deep h-alpha regions in this section of the
Milky Way. The shorter 5 min exposure ensures that the bright regions
such as the core of M17 and the center of the star cloud is not
saturated. Comments and suggestions are welcome.
