Greetings everyone,

A while back there was discussion about using an ice chest as a transport
case for optical instruments.  I have updated my web site at
www.robertreeves.com/repair12.htm to show how Kent Kirkley uses a big Igloo
ice chest to pack his 8-inch Schmidt camera.  It looks quite elegant.  Also
new on the same page are views of how Kent uses Paralax rings to mount the
Schmidt.

On www.robertreeves.com/scorched.htm you can see the progress with the
Schmidt camera that was in the house fire earlier this week.  The camera
looks pretty good now.  Unfortunately, the aftermath of the fire damaged the
mirror coating and I will have to send it out for realuminizing.  Oh goody!
Now I have two Schmidt cameras to refocus :-(  This one and my own which is
still dismanteled.  This should be interesting!
