Bill, silly question, but why dont you make a cradle with a scrap piece of
plywodd and some hinges. Maybe your mount cant carry the wieght?

Hi Chris,

My Schmidt Camera (5.5") doesn't have any non-essential holes at all.
There is a
small block mounted that has a protruding pin that I think is part of
Celestrons
piggy back scheme for an 8" or larger Schmidt Cassegrain. I was hoping
that there
was an easy way to test the focus before finding mounting rings etc. I
even looked
into mounting it on the back of its bigger brother the 8" but don't have
enough
pieces to actually do that either and I guess that the original
Celestron pieces are
hard to find :^).. I suppose it can wait until I can afford some
Parallax rings and
and a dovetail.

Best Regards

Bill
