Steve, I hand carrried my smaller 5.5 inch schmidt on the airplane in my
carryon bag to Australia last year.  I had to show them that it was a camera
lens, and not a bomb.  I have yet to attempt to get the 8 inch schmidt over
there, but i think I might mail it over in a crate before the trip if I did.

My 2 cents worth.

	I am going to Australia in November and would like to
take my 8" Celestron Schmidt Camera with me. Any ideas on a
good case for taking it on the airplane? Anyone traveled on
