Sorry for the confusion. I mean for it to go in the baggage compartment

Steve:
I'm a professional photographer (and astrophotographer) and while ATA cases,
Lightware, Pelican cases, etc. are great products, they are also expensive
and often heavy when empty. They also scream "Steal Me!!!".
I long ago discovered that 'Igloo' or Igloo type coolers make great cases for
shipping just about anything. They come in a range of sizes, are insulated
and rugged. They don't have secure locks, but I put two web straps around
them, pulled tight and taped.
They are also inexpensive and if damaged, replacing them is no big deal. And
they are lightweight when empty.
I've kept my 8inch Schmidt Camera in a 90qt. Igloo for the last 6 years.
It's white, keeping the inside cool and it can be used for a seat.
I went to a foam fabricator and had them cut high density foam sheets with
which I lined the cooler. Total cost less than $ 100.
