Although it takes alot of shots on this channel, I use my Pentax
K1000 (cc. 1976) in astrophotography with few headaches. It is cheap, reliable
and fully manual, almost to a fault. The only bad features are no
mirror lockup and you cant replace the focusing screens easily.
I use a very stable telescope and so the mirror lock doesnt affect me
and I use a knife edge to focus so I am not all that concerned about
the screens.
If you cant find something else, then the K1000 fully decked is about
$150 new! And used can be had for about $100 fully cleaned and
resealed.
btw I am also looking for an OM-1n, but that is so I can work on some
less stable mounted telescope systems.
Best of luck,
Scott
