[APML]: Film questions

Here are a couple of question regarding films again.

1. Is it true that Tach Pan is a rather slow film (200 or so) but that
hypering it lowers the reciprocity failure? In that case, how long must the
exposure be before the amount of collected light exceeds that of a 400 film?

2. Is Tech Pan any good for wide field photography with normal and short
telephoto lenses and an ordinary SLR camera on a clock drive? Will I gain
anything (grain, speed) by using it on such a setup compared to for example
PPF?

3. The best film for wide field photography is still PPF, right? In Europe
it's named Ektacolor Pro Gold 400 or GPY. I have read that there is another
film called Kodak Ektacolor Pro Gold 1000 or GPZ which is similar to the 400
film. Which one of these is best?
