Hi Christoph,
I am using the New Polaris mount for astrophotography with a
CometCatcher (500mm focal length). With the 900mm focal length of your
R114S you need a good guidescope. Nevertheless it should work (maybe).
The most important thing with the mount is the tripod, I use a heavy
duty steel pier, which makes it real stable. Do you have motors in both
axes? I have only one in REC, in DEC I do the corrections manually (with
a little 1:6 gear from Conrad Elektronik for 50DM). If youŽd like to,
