I agree 100% with everything in your message, Phil. I do not appreciate
Microsoft's proprietary-everything approach to operating systems, applications,
and now the Internet. I likewise would urge everyone using Microsoft e-mail
systems to turn off this extraneous baggage in their e-mail messages, if nothing
else out of courtesy to the rest of us. Better yet, get rid of the deliberately
intrusive and non-standard Internet Explorer and go with products made by
companies without such monopolistic designs (Eudora, Netscape, etc.).
