RE: [APML]: Negative for Scanning
Do you have better dimensions on the glass slide? Looking at my HP
PhotoSmart, I'm not sure how anything much thicker than paper will fit
between the rollers. Also, the HP *might* make some different assumptions
depending upon whether or not it is scanning a negative, slide or larger
print material when the software that comes with the scanner does some of
it's "automatic" adjustments. I'll see what I can dig up, but so far details
on what actually goes on inside the hardware have been tough to come by...

Edmunds has the 1951 USAF target on a 2X2" glass slide which should fit
into all the slide scanners. It's maximum resolution is group 7, element 2
which is about 3700 line pairs per inch - plenty for our scanners.
The test slide comes in two types, positive and negative. Edmunds recommends
the negative for illuminated test equipment. I guess a scanner qualifies as
that.
