I sent away for a sample print from this printer.  I was VERY impressed.  It
looks almost like a photograph even under a 10x lupe.  It IS continuous tone
with great vivid colors. 

At 10x you can see the pixels (but I can see the grain of most of my prints
at 10x), but holding the print like you would a photograph you couldn't tell
it wasn't a photo.  At very close inspection I could see a few places where
banding was apparent and one or two places where one color would appear to
be one pixel displaced where you could see like a yellow line above a black
letter.  This small error doesn't distract from the over all quality of the
image, and would only bug the  most serious perfectionists who should have
their output done at a professional lab anyway.

When I get the money, I'll be buying one...
