[APML]: 1998 eclipse

Seasons Greetings to all,

Next Feb. I will be in the Caribbean aboard the "Statendam" hoping 
to take photos of the eclipse. This will be the first time I will
witness a totallity and certainly my first attempt to record it.

The equipment I will carry will be The Meade ETX with camera adaptors, 
OM1 camera ( with 50mm lens but without motor drive) and a tripod. I 
will also travel with enthusiasm but no experience.

Could anyone offer advice, tips or any help regarding filters, film
types, film speed etc., etc.
