[APML] Call for an old eq mount for school use

I've been drafted to run a telescope for my kid's school's open house this
March. I'm thinking my homebuilt 8" newt would be just right. The 12.5"
would require a ladder to look through. Any of you guys have an older mount
that's up to 35 lbs visual sitting around collecting dust?
Hand-turned slow-motion controls would work pretty good.  I'd like to find
an Eq mount instead of an alt-az. I have an old Sears refractor mount that's
slow-motion control driven but it's for a 3 lb 2.4" refractor.
