RE: [APML] Comet Exposure Questions

Gary,

You may get away with a little more time guiding on the stars since the comet is far from "star like".  Its light is spread out more on film due to its coma, especially when using slide film (i.e. halation).  It is my belief this factor will give you a little more time to work with.  How much I don't know.  I would just experiment since film is cheap.  If the weather is good here, I'm going to try a 30 second and minute longer exposure with my FSQ-106.  In addition, I'll probably try an addition one and two minute exposure with my 165 mm.

Good luck with the comet,

Wade
