[APML] Virtual Desktop video

I just built a new system using the XP os and also have a video card question!

I am looking for an AGP 4x/8x card that supports a feature that used to be
called 'Virtual Screen' or 'Virtual Desktop' for a _single monitor_. This
was common with many video adapters using Win95, rare under Win98, and
seemingly non-existent under XP + AGP versions greater than 1.0.
This extends the enlarged desktop off the monitor screen, and the mouse
cursor repositions this virtual desktop by scrolling the viewport. When
working with a photo editing program, you can have a very large window open
and still have extra room for palettes.

One example I use is a Win98 system with an AGP 1.0 Revolution#9 IV card,
which supports a high color viewport of 1024x768, and a virtual desktop
four times as large!

So far I've spent fruitless hours searching the net and talking with hard
to reach video card manufacturers, so I'd be grateful for any leads!
