RE: [APML] computer video card
Current machine that support USB 2.0 and/or Firewire have about 10 times the
communication rate with peripherals that can use the newer protocols.
The slowdown for larger files is probably due to inadequate memory. If your
older machine has memory that was typical then, you don't have enough for
image processing. Aim for a gig of main memory or better on a 2.5+ GHz CPU
and your work will get done before you enter the command, compared to what
you get now.
