[APML]FIlm Test - Ilford SFX200
Gentlemen,
There was some discussion regarding the suitability of Ilford SFX200 for
Astro-Photography. I just happened to have a roll of SFX200 so while
imaging last night I slapped the roll in and exposed a shot just to see.
The results of this test can be viewed at:
http://www.celestial-images.com/film-test.html
This test compares Hypered Tech Pan,thats all I had handy, with
unhypered SFX200. Same subject, OTA, Exposure etc etc.
Rosette Nebula in Monoceros
253mm f/4 Newtonian. Lumicon Coma Corrrector and Ha Filter
Guided Off-Axis with the ubiqitious ST-4
Exposure times are 45 minutes each. (Lumicon Ha filter in place)
Development: Tech Pan - 6 min D-19
Development: Ilford - 6 min Tmax (their recomendation)
Both negatives scanned @ 4000 dpi, 16 bits greyscale. Imported into
Photoshop. These are full size scans. No scropping, no levels, no curves
.... no hits no runs, and no errors :^) What you see here is what you
get.
Regards
Bill
