RE: [APML] OT: aperture grille vs. shadow mask
I am a big fan of the highly rated NEC/Mitsubishi monitors. I like aperture
grill as it is a like "crisper" You will see two tiny lines across the
screen if you look very hard but they are usually not visible. If I needed a
new monitor for photo work right now I would look hard at the

Subject: [APML] OT: aperture grille vs. shadow mask
I'm going to be buying a new system soon and was wondering if I should go
with an aperture grille monitor? I've been using a shadow mask CRT for over
5 years, a Hitachi SuperScan Elite 751, and have had no complaints, still
nice and sharp with excellent colors with very little color shifting. I've
heard positives and negatives concerning both CRT types. Any thoughts?
Chris
