I took a look at the DSS and there is nothing at the coordinates of your
object. However, the teardrop shape of the object would lead me to
suspect that it was the trail of a meteor coming in nearly straight on
towards the camera. An asteroid or comet would not taper at either end
of its trail and would instead show a line with a constant diameter.
