     When the Apple G5's came along, the price for the old G4's plummetted
... I couldn't resist buying what until recently was "state of the art" ...
a dual processor 1.25 GHz G4 with about 1.5 gigs of RAM ... it smokes! I
think I mentioned this but here it is again ... we had a "race" with my old
G4 ... it's a .4GHz single processor ... we did an USM routine on 100 MB of
data ... by the time the PROGRESS bar came up on the old machine, the new
one had COMPLETED the task!!! It took about 2-3 seconds to do what used to
take about 20 - 30 seconds ... amazing. So yeah ... 400 MB slows it down a
bit ... just a bit ...  : - )
