Re: [APML] R200SS first light and new website ...
Thanks all for your nice comments ...
Yes Gary, that was a frosty one but with the boots and the coad I just bougth I think I'll be able to guide manually up to -20C.
This is adding to the challenge! :-)
Radu, yes I am using the Coma corrector. I had some problems with dew forming on it and fixed it with resistors wrapped around the
focusser where the Coma corrector is attached. I dont have the tele-extender.
Stuart, thanks for the kind words. I know you guided manually at -15C in the past so maybe I'll follow your trail and buy an
autoguider in a near future. :-)
Chris, I am very pleased with the result also. I still have problems to get a nice blue when printing these photos. I have to
understand the theory of colors when printing astrophotos!
George, I was using an guidescope. You can see it on the picture of my scope at the following address:
"http://www.astrophoto.ca/en/equipment/scope1.html". The GP/DX works prety well for me. The only disadvantage of this scope is that
you must buy an extra controller in order to be able to connect it to an autoguider. Since I am guiding manually this is not a
problem yet.
