I suspect it may be a very long time before we get a full 35mm frame sensor
in a "pro-sumer camera". By far, the largest driver in semiconductor cost
is the size of the chip. So a 10MegaPix 35mm chip will always cost much,
much, more than a 10 Mega Pixel chip in the 1.5 factor. I don't see the
consumer wanting to pay the premium thus this would be a pro level only chip
and thus will cost a pretty penny.
Then again, you never really know. They just might find a way to make it
happen. Time will tell ...
