Andreas,

nice image! If the frames have sufficient overlap, you could use the
'feather' function in Photoshop (or whichever image processing software
you are using) to create a smoother transition, thus hiding the seams.
I often find myself using feather values of 100-200 pixels on my
full-resolution scans.
