Hmmm.  I have Bessler plastic reels and I can say with confidence they
are no picnic trying to get a full roll of tech pan onto the spool.  I
have yet to get a full roll onto the spool without damaging the film
(crinkling).  

Of course, the only time I'm doing a full or nearly full roll is for
exposure tests.  For "real" pictures, I've been developing a half-roll
by cutting it while still in the camera and then loading it onto the
spool from the take-up reel in the camera.
