RE: [APML] A Veil from last year

John,

Thanks. I did not use Matt's star shaping and have not read a description
of it, probably due to time. I used levels, curves, hue and saturation, and
finally a mild unsharp mask.

Nice one Loke!
My first tri-color Schmidt image was of the veil. I spent a few days
fiddling with the colour balance trying to get rid of gradients from hell.
In the end I gave up and had planned on re-shooting it last summer. The
weather didn't cooperate. After seeing yours and Matt's images, I will have
to have another look at this. The gradients make sense now! Your star images
look way nicer than mine. Did you use Matt's star shaping on them???

Excellent shot!

Hi,

Here is a Tech Pan Tricolor Schmidt camera shot of the Veil nebula in it's
entirety which was shot last summer. I was not too happy with my processing
of it but I think I might be done with it now. To get more resolution, I
would need more image scale.
