 I misunderstood you regarding the histogram the first time. I have lopped
off a bit more at the bottom end of the histogram and have reposted the
image. So it looks a bit darker.

 The bottom end of the histogram might have been chopped up a bit. Regarding
the gradient, I noticed this myself. I think you're talking about the darker
region in the upper right hand corner NE (in this reference) of the Witch's
Broom right? When I first took this shot I figured that I had a gradient.
Then in subsequent weeks, I attempted the Veil a further two times. So I
have 3 separate attempts at this object. All 3 attempts had this gradient at
the same location. So I decided to just leave it alone. Interestingly I have
not noticed this with other folks shot of this object. Is it possible that
there is a lower concentration of blue stars in that upper right corner? I
must admit being quite uncertain about this.

Loke, took me a while to figure this one out. In PS, it looks like your
image could use a bit more off the bottom of the histogram to darken the
sky.  Also, There is a strange gradient across the frame, dark in the lower
left corner, and brownish and light in the upper corner.

Hi,

Here is a Tech Pan Tricolor Schmidt camera shot of the Veil nebula in it's
entirety which was shot last summer. I was not too happy with my processing
of it but I think I might be done with it now. To get more resolution, I
would need more image scale.
