Perhaps I'm getting too old for this telescope making stuff... I assist and advise at a telescope making laboratory/class and when asked about TDE and what to do about it, I now say: Start with a mirror that's 10 mm larger in diameter than the one you want and plan on masking off the edge.
To some of the hardcore ATMs this simple and practical advise is -- how should I say? -- not taken very well at all. :-)
Anyway, back to astrophotography.....
