Now that is bit surprising. I would not have expected a color
emulsion to have such resolution. Yes, TP should significantly improve this
further. Here is another thought, films have different resolution depending on
the brightness of the subject. We all know that in daylight everyday shots most
films with speeds less than 400ISO perform well as far as grain is concerned.
The slower the film the better in this area. But under low light
conditions, film resolution seems to give up some. Another thing to look at is
the resolution of both shots with the fainter part of the
nebulosity.
