Hey Richard,
This makes more sense than anything I've come up with. All my settings
are at 'RGB'. Looking at the channels thing I see that all 4 spaces
indicate slightly different shades of magenta. All 4 (RGB, red, green,
blue) have an eyeball next to them. I can get the eyeball next to any
channel except the RGB channel. Why would that be?

Indexed and Multichannel are not active.

I'm in the right mode, RGB everywhere I can find it. Whenever I click
the eyeball for the red channel, the one for RGB disappears too. The
green and blue work individually without affecting any of the other
channels.
What do you think?
