After changing the color from 'sRGB' to 'Adobe RGB (1998)' I got a
message that there was a 'profile mismatch'. I just decided to go ahead
and convert one image to the new setting. It made no difference, when I
opened an image, it was still a bright red-pink.

How do I go about re-setting the whole damn thing?
