RE: [APML] Guiding
Hi:
Yesterday night after manually guiding a picture. I ask myself what is
better for the eye, to always guide with the same eye or alternate guiding
from picture to picture from one eye to the other. So far I have mostly
guide with my right eye.
PD. This is an issue for the short to midterm, longer term I will go for an
auto guider.
Clear Skies,
Sergio

Subject: [APML] Guiding
I have added two new sections to my Astrophotography Techniques section of
my web site.
One is on manual guiding:
http://www.astropix.com/HTML/I_ASTROP/I07/I0704/I0704.HTM
One is on auto guiding:
http://www.astropix.com/HTML/I_ASTROP/I07/I0705/I0705.HTM
They describe techniques for guiding, how to calculate guiding tolerances,
and using the SBIG ST-4 autoguider.
I have also reorganized and redesigned the Astrophotography Techniques
section for better readability and printing. The text is now on a plain
white background.
Any comments or criticisms are welcome.
