The "raw" (called 16bit linear) file
save mode is fine and does not seem to clip at all. You just have no way of
"seeing" the output before you save... The GEM and ICE both seem to work in the
"linear" mode and the orange mask is removed also removed (on color negatives),
there is just no gamma and negatives are saved as negatives (and positives as
positives).
