When I was looking at entry level printers a years or so ago, the
cumulative wisdom of this list, the SBIG list, and anyone local who
works with computers, pretty much indicated that Epson was the way to
go. I went with the 820. 

Matt says he has problems with clogging. I also have that problem if
the printer sits idle. At that point it takes several tries cleaning
the print heads to unclog them.
