Dear All,
Here are
some wide field shots of the Southern Cross and Milky Way around
it.
The wide shot was taken with a 65mm super Angulon
Lens on E200 film 6x12cm. The lens has a bit too much vignetting at 5.6 but
going to f8 would have made the shot far too long. It is cropped down to about
4x9cm. Pushed 1 stop exposed 1 hour.
The smaller one is 50mm Nikon lens at 2.8 (one
stop down) it falls off a bit on the sides too so I cropped it a bit too.
The reso is low as I have only posted a small shot of it. Anyone who wants a
bigger version can mail me off list I will be happy to send them one. 45mins
Elitechrome 200 normal dev.
For the record - I am going to the Winter Star
Party in Florida. It will be interesting to see the same objects skimming the
horizon. When I took this shot it was almost overhead. Anyone else on the list
going to the WSP?
Regards Monte.
