[APML] A question about collimating

Hello all.,.,:)

I recently purchased the Orion LaserMate collimator.,., Part of the
procedure involves marking the center of  the primary mirror (Orion SVD "6
reflector) with a small (@ "1/4) donut shaped sticker.

Will placing this sticker on the primary mirror cause a drop performance???
For normal viewing? - for photography?

Is marking the mirror "key"  in finding center or is the "eyeball" method
sufficient ???:)
