Warren thank you for the time you have put in on
these letters, But I don't think you're going to produce the results with a
letter like this. If you want resiults then I think these words need to be in
that petition.:
"We have a real need for a good 120 astro film.
There are x number of astrophotographers who have made
the statement that they would purchase y dollars worth of z
film. As a show of their commitment to this need, they are willing to
purchase this when Kodak has the production run ready to go. There will
be many more who also have this need and will purchase this film when word
gets out farther than our internet mailing list."
We've already had two people say they will buy at
least $200 worth of a reproduced 120 film. If we can't drum up at least $2000
worth of business (10 people) we don't have a chance. And I imagine Kodak
wouldn't produce for less than $10,000 worth of product as someone has already
mentioned but that figure is not unattainable considering there are many
medium format astrophotographers outside the APML community.
