Another option would be to add a secondary focuser like a JMI NGF-SE. You can then use just about any 1.25 or 2" eyepiece or diagonal and elliminate dinkin around with threaded sct stuff. You would then have finer focus capabilitys as a bonus with the focuser and moto focus as yet another option.
The secondary focuser will thread right on your sct threads.

I believe that the Celestron 2" diagonal will thread right on to the back of this and many other SCTs without additional adapters.  I used on a C5 several years ago.

adaptors that screw onto the rear of  Meade SCT OTA that would accommodate 2"
diagonals?
