No such information has crossed my desk and I'm a member of the
Tri-Valley Stargazers, the club Jack helped to found and I'm subscribed
to their mail list. I see nothing on their web page about that either.

Maybe Matt's comment referred to Jack in regards to astrophotography,
which would be true. The last I heard about Jack was that he was into
dealing in slabbed coins and flying his plane.
