Re: [APML] Gas Hypersensitization History

Hello,

Thank you for the very kind compliments on the M42 shot.
Here's one more thing that MIGHT set an APML'er apart from the usual CCD crowd (Daphne's comment)... we are soooooo photographic oriented here that all the technology learned in the operation of a CCD would ONLY be in the purpose of creating the very best photo-realistic image... and probably exceding what a pure photo would make. I would break this knowledge down into two parts... acquisition of information, and processing of information.
I won't talk about this anymore, but I have been around this avocation long enough to see all kinds of changes come and go... whether you like it or not, the capabilities gained through digital techniques dwarf the previous photo-mechanical era ...
I believe that in order to excel in the digital arena, a previous background in traditional photography is all but essential. Even if I eventually switch to shooting with a CCD, I am proud that I belong to the APML and that I share with you all this fantastic heritage of excellence and foundation.
