Re: [APML] Film on the rebound- Petition?
Warren,
If Kodak is like most businesses, it cares mostly about money. Back in
November my thinking was maybe Kodak would be willing to manufacture a
special order of film, if the order was large enough. Maybe I was wrong
about that...

Matt,
Unfortunately, special orders are only for existing products in an
existing format. All consumer films are strictly 35mm format (per EK
Consumer Imaging marketing division). They will not create a 120 format
film of their emulsions.

Dear Mr. Morton:
I am a dedicated astrophotographer and usually use Kodak films. We
astrophotographers test commercial films to see which are suitable for
the long exposures that we do. Currently there is no 120 format negative
color film by any manufacturer that is excellent for astrophotography,
even with special gas hypersensitization. One emulsion that works very
well when hypered is RG 200. If we astrophotographers would agree to
purchase a few thousand rolls, would Kodak be willing to make RG 200 in
120 format?
Whom at Kodak should I contact regarding this?
Please see my web site for examples of astrophotography.
