Let me go to the second level here. As I mentioned I'm acknowledging
the list as it is. If the group wants to stick to the letter of the
original statement then we need to tell people, no CCD image posts and
much less CCD discussion of all kinds. I'm not in favor of that
strict interpretation.
I feel as though we have a double standard now though. Newcomers get
a message upon subscription that says "No CCD discussion" but then they
see list members of some status in the amateur community posting and
discussing CCD images.
I think we should enforce the policy we have or make a new one that is
more in tune with the times. I prefer the latter.
I repeat, in no way do I wish to see APML become SBIG list #2, but to
ignore useful CCD techniques that apply to film and prohibiting comparison
of CCD and film images seems counter-productive to me.
