Re: [APML] Why this discussion?? WAS The End of Tech Pan???
howard, all:
hopefully, your comments don't run robert off. his images and comments are
amonst the cream of the crop. i really enjoy them. many of robert's images are
combined with emulsion. i've been on this list for a long time and robert has
always made it a point to say he will "go away" if he is not welcomed. i, for
one, welcome him. (robert, what are the other lists you post on?) as i see it,
robert is making a point, not trying to get "enough" feedback, nor attempting to
highlight anything being superior. film has it's superior points and so does
CCD. simple...
with the discussion of ccd and film (not ccd -vs- film), i think we can, and
have learned much. that's what these lists are all about.
robert and many others, (kolb, bendaniel, walker, reeves, hallas, covington,
etc), share their skills with us. that only helps us, not hurt.
i've learned so much from this list in the last year, it's hard to keep up...
thats a good thing. as you mentioned, "some techniques and methodologies are
common between the two",... so, take what you can from it, learn what you can,
and discard the rest. again, simple...
