Another suggestion since I agree KE would be impractical with a
projection set-up. If you have a removable pentaprism, use a 20-50x pocket
microscope (Edmund), carefully focused to the bottom of the focus screen.
Get a good, tight point source on a star (a Hartmann helps) then swing over
to your planet. You should at least be able to resolve Cassini or bands of
Jupiter through the camera. If you have a fixed prism it's near impossible,
except perhaps a B+K with an Olympus which is a magnifier and not a KE.
