RE: [APML] Hypered film

My freezer is not that large and generally doesn’t have enough food to make me loose things.  Mostly because I eat out way to much. J

I used to keep it quite well in the back of the freezer for some months. so it isnt too bad!

Best way seemed to be to pop the films into a plastic bag after hypering, then pop the bag in the freezer -that way any ice in the freezer doesn't get at the films. The only problem was occasionally forgetting about where in the freezer the films were!

Dave,

Thanks for the tips on hypered film storage.  I guess the best answer is to not wait to long to use the film, conditions permitting.

Hi,

I have stored Hypered 2415 for weeks by keeping it in a vacuum chamber at room temp.  I did a bit of testing along that avenue, and found the best way to store hypered film is to get a Seal A Meal, blow forming gas into the bag, then seal it.  Once you have the bag and film sealed pitch it in the freezer.  I had some film in for 3 months and had no measurable drop in sensitivity.

Although I don’t think I’ve progressed far enough to begin using hypered films I have the following question.  If you purchase hypered film from a dealer such as Lumicon can you store the film and if so how and for how long?
